Metallic Transformation combines found objects from the natural world with high-tech materials recontextualizing technological progress and organic forms. Tree parts are coated with a plasma metal spray — a process developed by the aerospace industry. Here, the very body of the sculpture is defined by plant life as it meets and interacts with the application of advanced material science. At no point can one element be removed from the other.
